Sable Point Breeding

Well where to start I guess I will introduce Panda our newest addition. So I was suppose to be downsizing which seems to be an impossible task her but that's okay one day I will get down to numbers I am happy with. I don't have trouble with deciding who should go it's more so of selling them and NOT bringing anymore new rabbits in. I really want to try hard to start keeping my own names so hopefully by this time next year at least half of my rabbits will just have Wagner's Rabbitry name on them!

Anyways, Panda is a broken sable point doe who is the sweetest thing ever! I love her sooo much, you can do virtually anything too her and she loves to just be held and have lots of attention. You think between her and Jedan my solid sable point doe I would be able to have sable point babies right?
Wrong.
I think Jedan and Panda are both devising a plan on not letting me breed sable points because first of all neither of them are willing to be bred. Jedan had a litter of 4 about a month ago now and they didn't make it unfortunately :( Panda is proven and had her last litter about 4 months ago now so there should be no problem in breeding right?
They both just pancake it would when I put them in with Kennelly. I think it's starting to hurt Kennelly's feelings! haha :) Kennelly is awesome and I want to have babies from him so bad!! So hopefully by christmas we will super adorable solid and broken sable point babies!!
I will keep you updated on how it goes!!

Only 2 weeks until Lebanon!!! I am sooooo excited!! I will be rooming with Julie from Oak Ridge rabbitry and it will be a very fun time!

Oh my overdue post!

Well this post is way over due sorry if anyone is still reading this! haha
Anyways so lets start with baby news!
The Lionhead babies are super cute and growing lots! They are really friendly and are little puff balls right now!
Jedan's babies sadly all passed away :( She was either not producing enough milk or not letting them nurse for long enough :( I am going to try to breed her again with Kennelly and hope for better results next time!
I palpated Noel and she has at least 2 babies in there hopefully more!! I am super excited for this litter :) I think they will be a nice cross :)
I think that's it for baby news right now!
Next on to show news!
For Grange Kennelly got 3rd out of 3 :( The judge said he had a nice wide head excellent crown and placement and short shoulders, but lacks in depth and overall width.
Laurel and her babies got 3rd out of 10 he didn't really give any comments on them.
For Mill Hall Kennelly placed 7th out of 10 so he did better! the judge said he has a good head and ears firm body good bone but was too close to be broken sable point? not sure what that means but all well!He also said he lacked flesh in the rear and was a little undercut
Nadia got 3rd out of 3 he said her head shape was good but folded ears and a little slipped and was just fair overall
Laszlo got BOV!! Yay!! He was in broken junior buck, I am so proud of him :) He said he had a nice head, good bone, nice crown/ ear and nice solid buck

I had a lot of fun at the show and can't wait for the next one! I need about a week off though to catch up on sleep haha!
